Installation

Installing SENTINEL·IEP is the same as installing any other app: download it, open the installer, and follow the prompts. There's nothing technical to set up — no extra software to download, no command line, no accounts to configure first. If you can install a web browser, you can install this.

Everything is built in. The speech-to-text engine and the on-device AI model come bundled inside the installer. You don't need to install Python, Ollama, or anything else. Download, double-click, and you're ready.

Download

Choose the version for your computer:

Not sure which one? If you bought a Windows PC, choose Windows. If you have a MacBook, iMac, or Mac mini, choose Mac.

Install on Windows

1 Click Download for Windows above and save the file.

2 Double-click SentinelIEP-Setup.exe in your Downloads folder.

3 If Windows shows a blue "Windows protected your PC" box, click More info → Run anyway. This appears for new apps and is expected — see the note below.

4 Follow the installer prompts (click Next, then Install). When it finishes, SENTINEL·IEP is in your Start menu and on your desktop.

Install on Mac

1 Click Download for Mac above and open the .dmg file when it downloads.

2 Drag the SENTINEL·IEP icon into your Applications folder.

3 The first time you open it, right-click (or Control-click) the app icon and choose Open, then confirm. macOS asks for this once on new apps — after that it opens normally.

Install on Linux

1 Download the .AppImage file above.

2 Make it executable (right-click → Properties → Permissions → "Allow executing file as program", or chmod +x SentinelIEP.AppImage).

3 Double-click it to launch. No installation step is needed — the AppImage runs as-is.

What happens the first time you open it

When SENTINEL·IEP launches for the first time, you'll see:

A welcome and disclaimer screen — type your initials and click Continue.
A quick, automatic check of your computer (it just confirms things are ready — nothing for you to do).
The main SENTINEL·IEP window. That's it — you're in.

Common questions

Why did Windows or my Mac warn me about the app?

Operating systems show a one-time caution for newly released apps that aren't yet widely downloaded. It does not mean anything is wrong with the file. On Windows, click More info → Run anyway; on Mac, right-click the icon and choose Open. You only do this once.

The app opened but it isn't picking up audio in a meeting.

Your computer controls microphone access, so you may need to grant SENTINEL·IEP permission the first time. On Windows: Settings → Privacy & security → Microphone. On Mac: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone. Turn it on for SENTINEL·IEP, then restart the app.

Do I need to pay for or set up an AI service?

No. SENTINEL·IEP works out of the box using the AI model built into the app, and nothing you record has to leave your computer. If you ever want to connect a more powerful cloud AI for deeper analysis, that's an optional choice in Settings — never a requirement to get started.

How much disk space does it need?

Plan for about 5 GB free. The download is larger than a typical app because the AI model is included, so you don't have to download anything extra later.
